Unheard Voices session for Sherman writers

"Sherman Theatre has announced the 16 writers who have been selected take part in its nine- month long writer development programmes. The scheme is divided into a programme for writers working in the Welsh language - Cylch Sgwennu’r Sherman and a programme for writers working in English – Sherman Writers Group. These major initiatives to nurture and support Welsh and Wales-based writers will see participants develop their initial idea for a play which they submitted at the application stage into a final draft. The writers will work closely with the Sherman’s Literary Team – Literary Manager Branwen Davies and Literary Associate Alice Eklund as well as the theatre’s Artistic Director Joe Murphy and guest writers and directors to develop their plays. The sessions will take place monthly both in person and online. The schemes are part of a range of work led by the Literary Team to connect with writers including open script submission windows, reading clubs, writers nights and one to one pit stop sessions."

It was a pleasure to be a guest director and have the opportunity to share my practice with the next generation of exciting Welsh writers!
