I'm incredibly excited to share a significant milestone in my journey with Fio. We have been selected as one of the 81 organisations to receive multi-year funding from the Arts Council of Wales, as part of their 2023 Investment Review. This is a moment of immense pride and a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication of our entire team.
Being recognised in this way is not just a professional achievement but a deeply personal one as well. Fio has always been about pushing boundaries and giving a voice to those often unheard in the arts. To see our commitment to creativity, diversity, and community engagement acknowledged on such a significant platform is truly fulfilling.
The Arts Council of Wales' Six Principles—Creativity, Widening Engagement, Welsh Language, Climate Justice, Nurturing Talent, and Transformation—resonate deeply with our mission. Being part of this diverse group of organisations committed to enriching the cultural fabric of Wales is both an honour and a responsibility.
This funding opens up new possibilities for Fio. It allows us to expand our artistic programmes, reach out to new audiences, and further our mission of inclusivity and representation in the arts. It's a chance to grow and to continue making a meaningful impact in the community.
Reflecting on this journey, I'm filled with gratitude for the support we've received along the way—from all the brilliant artists and dedicated team members to our terrific trustees and partners. This achievement is a collective one, and I'm excited about the future possibilities it brings.
Thank you to the Arts Council of Wales for this incredible opportunity. And thank you to everyone who has been part of Fio's story. We can't wait to share the next chapter with you all.
